The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to join our growing practice in Wills & Estates and Commercial Law. This role offers strong autonomy, meaningful client work, and the opportunity to contribute to a supportive, high-performing team.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing matters end-to-end with minimal supervision across:
    – Wills, Powers of Attorney, and estate planning
    – Probate and administration
    – Estate disputes and related litigation (where relevant)
    – Commercial and business advisory matters
  • Conducting client conferences and providing strategic, solutions-focused advice
  • Drafting high-quality legal documents including Wills, trusts, agreements, court documents and correspondence
  • Briefing and instructing counsel as required
    Contributing to business development, referral relationships, and community engagement


About You

You’re a confident, client-focused practitioner who enjoys taking ownership of fi les and delivering excellent outcomes. You will have:
5+ years PAE, with experience across Wills & Estates and/or Commercial Law
Strong technical knowledge and sound judgment
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
A warm, professional client manner aligned with TBA Law’s values
Ability to work collaboratively and support team development
Current Australian practicing certificate

PARALEGAL – WILLS & ESTATES (FULL-TIME / PART-TIME)

Our Wills & Estates team works closely with clients on estate planning, probate, estate administration, and related matters, delivering a high standard of service with care and professionalism.


The Role

We are seeking a capable and proactive Paralegal to support our Wills & Estates / Deceased Estates practice on a full-time, part-time or contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-focused work, client contact, and assisting in the smooth progression of estate matters.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and preparing estate planning documents (Wills, Powers of Attorney, supporting correspondence)
  • Assisting with Probate and Letters of Administration matters, including:
    – Preparing Probate applications and affidavits
    – Collating and reviewing supporting material
    – Lodging Probate applications
    – Liaising with the Court, clients, and external stakeholders
  • Supporting administration of deceased estates, including drafting:
    – Estate distribution documents
    – Notices, releases, and transfer paperwork
    – Communications to benefi ciaries and relevant parties
  • File management, document collation, and maintaining accurate matter records
  • Assisting lawyers with day-to-day carriage of matters and client updates


About You

You’ll be an organised, reliable paralegal who can work with initiative and sensitivity in estate matters. Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous paralegal experience in Wills & Estates / Probate (highly regarded)
  • Strong drafting and document preparation skills
  • Familiarity with court lodgement processes (Probate/Administration)
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • Confident, professional communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team

RECEPTIONIST & ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT – PART-TIME (3 DAYS PER WEEK)

Our Wallan office is an important part of our regional practice, and we are looking for a warm, capable receptionist to be the welcoming face of the fi rm.


The Role
We are seeking a professional and friendly Part-Time Receptionist
& Administration Assistant to join our Wallan team three days per week. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in presentation and organisation, and can manage a busy front desk confi dently.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming clients and visitors and ensuring a positive fi rst impression
  • Answering and directing phone calls professionally
  • Managing appointments, meeting rooms, and diary coordination
  • Receiving, sorting, and distributing mail and deliveries
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks, fi ling, scanning, and data entry
  • Supporting lawyers and support staff with day-to-day office needs
  • Maintaining reception and client areas to a high standard


About You

You’ll be personable, organised, and calm under pressure. Ideally, you will have:

  • Previous reception or customer-facing administrative experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and time management
  • Confidence using phone systems, email, and Microsoft Office
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude
  • A professional presentation that aligns with a legal environment
